Canadian immigration policy

1) Visa Type
Visitor-free visit to Canada: Short-term business trip, sightseeing, and transit within 180 days
With the implementation of the visa waiver system between Korea and Canada (1994), a visa-free visit to Canada can be made for up to 180 days for short-term business trips, tourism, and transit purposes
However, since March 2016, Canada has fully implemented Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), requiring any visitor who wants to enter Canada on a visa-free flight to complete their ETA registration online in advance.

Precautions
As of January 28, 2013, the visa and immigration departments of the Canadian Embassy in Seoul were closed, and all services except for the working holiday program will be handled by the visa department of the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines. Visits, study abroad, and work visas can be submitted online on the website of the Canadian Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration
In August 2013, the Canadian government opened a visa application center in Seoul and is accepting visa applications through a private agency (visa issuance is the Embassy of the Philippines) and can apply for visas at the center

Apply for a visa as a long-term visitor if you plan to visit Canada in excess of 180 days
- If you extend your stay beyond your visa-free visit (180 days) in the country, you can apply online through the Canadian Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration website
Study Permit
 Issuing to students who are admitted by higher education institutions in Canada
- Applicants need proof of financial capacity to cover tuition, living expenses, and return airfare in Canada
If you study less than 6 months, △ Diplomats and their families sent to Canada (requires confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada) △ Soldiers dispatched under the 'Visiting Forces Act' and their families (requires meeting certain requirements) are exempt from permission to study abroad
Work Permit

 a work permit in Canada
- For full-time students belonging to an officially certified Canadian educational institution

suburban work permit
- For full-time students belonging to an officially certified Canadian educational institution
- Students with suburban work permits are limited to 20 hours a week during the semester, and can work as full-time employees during vacation

 permission for employment after graduation
- A full-time Canadian student who has been attending a national official educational institution for at least 8 months
- Applications within 90 days of receipt of a certificate of graduation issued by the school
- In the case of employment permit after graduation, it is shorter than the enrollment period
