<Alien: Romulus> movie review
Lane (Kaylee Spani) who has lived as a farmer on the planet
Jackson's star lives like a brother and sister with a black figure,
Andy (David Johnson), a synthetic human being, and he is often
discriminated against or assaulted by humans.
Lane has a plan to move to the Iva planet from Jackson,
the planet where she currently resides, but she is rejected by
the migration manager. Lane, who met her friends, hears that
there is an abandoned spacecraft "Renaissance Master" 320
kilometers in the air, and uses the energy of the abandoned
spacecraft to go to the Iva planet. Lane docks with Andy,
a synthetic human who will secure the abandoned spacecraft,
and the rest of the group aboard the Covelan to enter the interior.
Unknown creatures, shaped like scorpions, hatch and wake up as
the group inspects the cooling chamber for energy, and begin to
attack the human face, and the humans manage to pull it off and run away.
Faith Huggar, a mysterious creature attached to one of the group's faces,
has something going on in the human body, and after some time, the strange
reaction begins to appear in the body, and the alien begins to pop out.
If you don't remember the details of the previous work or haven't seen it at all,
it doesn't have much trouble watching this Romulus episode. But if you've
seen the previous work, you can see how an alien is roughly made and then
comes out of a human body, so it's easier to understand the situation. If you've
seen the previous work, you'll see that it's roughly like this, and it's going to be
created when an alien monster appears, hatches, and parasites like that.
There's a basic plot you can predict.
About 40 minutes from the start to about a third of the running time, there
are quite a lot of things to see in space like a science fiction space exploration
movie. The zodiac sign of the planet is so beautifully expressed. In the solar
system to which Earth belongs, Saturn's circumference is looped. The gloomy
future of the planet where the main character Lane lives, the dull but realistic
image of the Covelan spacecraft, and the Renaissance space station's large-
scale abandoned spacecraft also worked on the CG, so it was good to feel
completely different. The images of the spacecraft in the gravity-
free state also came to me fresh, and I think the second half of gravity-
free scene was more overwhelming than the first half. From the scene in
the Face Hugger cooling room where Alien appears to the end of the show
with tension, I was very immersed, so I watched it carefully, and there were
interesting scenes and story progressions, such as the scene where he was
chased by Alien, the scene where Andy's ego "Programming" changed,
and the new phase caused by the emergence of another synthetic human.
There were more jumpscare stun scenes than I thought, so I flinched while
watching them, but there were several scenes where I was surprised because
they popped out suddenly with the sound. The process of becoming an alien is
that when a facehuger in the shape of a scorpion pushes a larval chestbuster
into the body through the human mouth, it grows quickly after getting nutrients
from the human body, or becomes an adult after mutating once more.
In the movie, it seems that only one day to three days is enough to become
an adult from a facehugger larva. The main story is about survival in the fight
against an alien, but it was worth seeing the friendship between human Rain
and synthetic human Andy. In the beginning, when Andy is indiscriminately
assaulted by humans, it is a basic duty to save Andy and Andy obey and
protect him. The friendship between the two in the second half was also
calm. Andy, who is naive and incapable of countering humans,
became an important being when he boarded the spaceship,
and the change of Andy in the middle part was also quite interesting.
