It is a specialty liquor in Yeongwol, Gangwon-do, which is made for 100 days by using deodeok collected from Gangwon-do in the heavenly region and adding ingredients such as jujube, omija, and licorice that are good for the body. It is a drink that will make you healthy just by looking at it as one root of deodeok is contained in a bottle and has a subtle brown color.
Deodeok is a representative specialty of Yeongwol-gun. Donggang Deodeokju, which is made by aging deodeok grown in the clear and clean arms of Yeongwol, into uncontaminated rock water 150 meters underground, is rich in taste and smell. Deodeok is characterized by saponin, is also famous for being a nutrient tonic, strengthens lungs, spleen and kidneys, reduces cholesterol and lipids in the blood, and lowers blood pressure, which helps prevent adult diseases such as high blood pressure.
Yeongwol Deodeok Farming Association is located in Jucheon-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do. Jucheon-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do, which is a clean area, has been the origin of Sulsam since ancient times. The origin of the past is that this spring water, located at the foot of Mangsan Mountain, has been handed down as the name of Jucheon (酒泉) in Shindongguk Yeojiseungram. There was a small spring called Sulsam on a cliff at the foot of the 酒泉 River, where the scenery is beautiful due to its clear water and strange rock cliffs. In this spring, when the yangban goes to receive water, they become medicinal herbs, and when the heavenly people receive water, they come out as Takju (濁酒), but one day, a young Cheonmin changed into Yangban and received water, but Takju, not Yakju, came out.
The young man tried several times expecting the sake to come out, but when only the takju came out, the angry young man blocked the entrance of the spring with a stone, and after that, no alcohol came out, only clear and cold spring water came out, so the name Jucheon was used by combining the sake (酒) and the sake (泉).
It has a light brown color and the scent of deodeok is subtly wrapped in your mouth. Unlike deodeokju made at home, deodeok scent and alcohol content are properly matched so that you can drink lightly. It is even better with grilled marinated deodeok.
In Yeongwol-gun, Yeongwol Donggang Deodeoksul, Donggang Bokboksul, Donggang Hwang Giju, and Donggang Deodeok Apple liquor have been commercialized and introduced to customers over 10 years of research. Deodeok, which is used as a raw material (deodeok) by the Yeongwol Agricultural Cooperative Federation, is produced in Gangwon-do, which has a large daily temperature difference, and has a strong taste and aroma.
